Method 1: Command Line (LND)

Method 3: Umbrel / GUI Nodes

1. Open your Lightning Node dashboard
2. Find "Connect to Peer" or "Add Peer"
3. Paste the full URI: 02a1b2c3d4e5f6a7b8c9d0e1f2a3b4c5d6e7f8a9b0c1d2e3f4a5b6c7d8e9f0a1b2c3{{ $node['onion'] }}
4. Click Connect

Method 4: Mobile Wallets (Zeus, Fully Noded)

1. Go to Channels or Peers section
2. Tap "Add Peer" or scan QR code
3. Enter the node URI
4. Confirm connection

After Connecting

Connecting just establishes a peer relationship – no funds are committed yet. To transact, you'll need to open a channel.

Tor vs Clearnet

Our recommendation: Use Tor if privacy matters to you. Use clearnet if you need maximum reliability and speed. Either works great with LOM.
